Leila Khabagnote is an emerging artist currently based in Chicago. She holds a BFA from San Jose State University, California. Her photo-based work explores introspective questions and shifting concepts of home, memory, and regret, especially in relation to the construction and erasure of familial memory and image. She experiments with the surface of photographs, altering them both digitally and by hand, and through explorations involving alternative processes. Her work has been displayed at Two Cats Gallery and in solo and group exhibitions at San José State University. She has been selected to be featured in Meatspace Art Magazine, Needlebound, and Chill Mag among other publications.
